Pure Protein — Brand & Packaging
Protein bars had become a category built on promises. More energy. Better performance. Healthier choices. Stronger bodies. Everyone had a story to tell. But research into how people actually shopped the category revealed something much simpler. They weren’t just buying the story. They were buying the numbers. So instead of inventing another promise, we developed a brand direction around the proof. Truth in numbers.
The insight
People were turning the package over.
Protein. Calories. Sugar. Carbs. The information traditionally relegated to the back of the package was often the information consumers cared about most.
The opportunity
Walk down the protein bar aisle and almost every brand is fighting for attention. Lifestyle. Performance. Flavor. Ingredients. Big promises about what the product can do for you. But consumer research revealed something hiding underneath all of it: people were comparing numbers.
Stop making people search for the reason to choose Pure Protein. Put it right in front of them.
Chapter 01
The nutrition panel traditionally lived on the back. Our idea was to bring its most compelling information forward. Protein became more than a product attribute. It became the foundation of the brand’s visual language. Numbers got bigger. Messaging got simpler. And instead of asking people to believe another advertising claim, Pure Protein could show them exactly what they were getting.

20g protein.No metaphor required.
Chapter 02
The idea wasn’t conceived as an advertising campaign alone. We explored how the same thinking could reshape the broader Pure Protein identity and packaging system. What matters most? Make it easiest to find. Protein content moved forward in the hierarchy. Packaging became clearer, more direct and easier to navigate at shelf.

Rather than applying a visual idea on top of the strategy, we used design to make the strategy visible. The numbers became the identity.
Chapter 03
That thinking led to a larger brand platform: a way to turn nutritional information into communication. Rather than competing with the increasingly elaborate language of wellness, Pure Protein could speak in something considerably harder to argue with: facts.

Less spin. More substance. When the product has the numbers, you don’t need the hype.
The campaign concept took the numbers consumers were already looking for and made them impossible to miss.
Chapter 04
We extended the idea into a flexible visual system designed to work across the brand. Packaging. Digital. Social. Advertising. Retail. Wherever Pure Protein appeared, the concept could operate with the same basic ingredients: product, number, proof.

A proposed brand system built around consistency rather than constant reinvention — one idea capable of stretching across products, messages and channels.
The truth.In numbers.
